The same projects, described two ways. Pick whichever is more useful — you can switch at any point from the header.
No cookies. This choice lives in the tab and is forgotten when you close it.
No cookies. No advertising trackers. No third party receives your data. Everything below is measured first-party, in aggregate, so we can tell whether the site is doing its job.
The short version. When you load a page here, our own analytics records which page, roughly where in the world the request came from, what kind of browser and device you're using, and how you moved through the page. We do not store your IP address, we do not set cookies, and we cannot identify you.
Country, region and city, plus timezone — derived from your IP address by our host, at city-level accuracy at best.
No cookies, and nothing persistent on your device. Two things live in your browser's session storage — a random session identifier, and whether you picked the plain-English or technical version of the site. Both are destroyed when you close the tab. Nothing survives the visit.
No browser fingerprinting. We don't hash your canvas, fonts, or plugin list to build a persistent identifier. To tell a returning visit from a new one within a single day, we use a one-way hash of your IP and browser combined with a secret that rotates every 24 hours. Tomorrow, today's hash matches nothing — by design.
Form values are never recorded by analytics. We log that a field was focused and whether it ended up non-empty. The contents are not read, and password and hidden fields are skipped entirely.
No third parties. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no retargeting, no data brokers. The data goes to our own storage and nowhere else. Fonts are served from Google Fonts, which will see your IP as part of serving them — that is the only external request this site makes.
Nothing is sold or shared. Ever, for any purpose.
Legal basis. Legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — understanding how a small business website performs. Because we set no cookies and store no identifiers on your device, no consent banner is required under the ePrivacy Directive.
Retention. Analytics records are kept for 12 months and then deleted. Enquiries you send us — by email, form, phone or the booking page — are kept for as long as we're in contact and for up to two years afterwards, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off.
Opting out. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we record nothing at all. Any content blocker will also stop the collector, and the site works perfectly without it.
Your rights. Under GDPR and comparable laws you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to processing. Analytics records contain no identifier that can be traced back to you, so we usually cannot locate an individual's rows — but anything you sent us directly, we can find and delete on request.
Third parties in the chain. The site is hosted on Netlify, which processes requests and derives approximate location. Calls are booked through Calendly, which has its own privacy policy and receives whatever you enter there. Fonts load from Google Fonts.
